Yeah they’re not big. 2 people can lift them without much trouble.

What are the approximate dimensions on that unit? Seeing how small it looks is giving me lots of bad ideas.

Does the training for the BEV’s consist of: “Don’t touch the orange wires. No, seriously, don’t touch the orange wires. But if you insist, please wear these gloves which I know none of you will wear because they’re big and bulky and apparently it’s more manly to get electrocuted to death.”

Also, where’s the service plug? I only know where it is on the Prius. I need to find out where it is on my e-Golfs.

No there’s actually a lot more to it than that. That’s just the first ten minutes.

If you try to power one down just by removing the plug you’re going to have issues when trying to power it up. You might get it to power back up if you’re lucky but you’ll almost certainly have warnings on the dash. That being said, under the left side of the dash, red.

Interesting. On the Prius, it’s back at the HV battery.

I need to look into taking a class on BEVs.

Well it only disconnects the HVIL, there’s no high voltage at the service disconnect on the B-class. Or were you meaning on fill electric behooves in general? Because they’re all different. 453 smart service disconnect is on the battery and does have high voltage going through it. 451 is under the dash.

The service plug on the Prius disconnects the HV circuit so that you can either disconnect the HV battery, or start working on anything that can contain HV.

It looks like the normal service disconnect for the HV lines for the e-Golf is in the fuse panel.

And then the first responder one is under the hood. I can’t remember if the first responder one is just something they cut, or it’s an actual plug.
